The Victorian COVID-19 Cancer Network (VCCN) was established in March 2020 in response to the challenges involved with managing cancer care amid the global health crisis. Its purposes are to provide support and advice to clinicians and health care services treating patients with cancer during the COVID-19 pandemic; advocate for patient needs and support the cancer workforce across the state. This joint initiative of MPCCC and the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre aims to provide support and advice to all health professionals treating patients with cancer during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Victorian COVID-19 Cancer Network (VCCN) collaborates on a digital platform for professional discussion, information and support. It is divided into Expert Groups offering specific support by tumour stream or area of concern. The VCCN provides:

• Strategic initiatives to guide and optimise care for patients with cancer
• Curated information and guidance for practitioners
• Specialised channels for various tumour streams and interest areas, for example, cancer clinical trials, telehealth and haematology
• Forums for shared problem solving, support and conversations
