MPCCC supports connection at the 38th Annual Lorne Cancer Conference

MPCCC was proud to sponsor the coffee cart at the Lorne Cancer Conference, held from 12–14 February, bringing together cancer researchers, clinicians and trainees from across Australia.

Now in its 38th year, the Lorne Cancer Conference is one of the country’s most highly regarded forums for sharing cutting-edge cancer research and fostering collaboration across disciplines. By sponsoring the meeting, MPCCC helped to create welcoming spaces for informal conversations, idea-sharing, and connection throughout the three-day program.

MPCCC Co-Director and Lorne Cancer organising committee member Prof Mark Shackleton said the conference continues to play a vital role in strengthening the cancer research community.

“The Lorne Cancer Conference continues to showcase the extraordinary depth and breadth of cancer research happening across Australia and internationally. From stem cell biology and leukaemia through to breast cancer development and immunotherapy, this year’s program highlighted both scientific rigour and real translational ambition. The conversations held, formal and informal, and the innovations they will spurn, are what drive progress towards improved patient experiences after a cancer diagnosis,” said Prof Shackleton.

MPCCC is committed to supporting opportunities that bring people together, strengthen partnerships, and accelerate progress in cancer research and care, values at the heart of the Lorne Cancer Conference.
